First and foremost, we love to help you. It’s why Joy founded this business over 5 years ago, and why we continue to do what we do every day. While sometimes the challenges that we assist you with may be headscratchers and can cause some heartburn, we enjoy working through challenges with you to identify solutions. Whether it’s a short-term project, or a long-term assignment, we will work to share our knowledge with you because that’s what we are passionate about.

After sharing our knowledge, we love to see a project come to a successful conclusion. There is something satisfying about completing a Yardi implementation, a stack of CAM reconciliations, a particularly complex lease abstract, or finishing monthly financial reports. One of the things we’d like to be better at is celebrating the completion of projects and sharing how we’ve helped your organization. If you’d like to share those successes with us and our other clients, let us know, we would love to share those success stories on our social media platforms.

This month we are happy to feature Ben Scheffler, one of our Controllers. Learn a little bit about Ben below:
How Long Have You Been With F&D: I’ve been with F&D for 2 years.
Favorite Movie: Cheaper by the Dozen – my wife and I get a kick out of how similar our life is to the events in the movie.
Favorite Book: Currently reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to my girls. It is a fun series, great book and great evening activity for us.
Favorite Band: Rolling Stones
If you could have any job in the world, what would you do? Astronaut, I think it would be amazing to travel to space, weightlessness, and see stars, planets, and solar systems from a totally different vantage point.
Where is the most breathtaking place you’ve ever travelled? I was in Alaska this past summer. I was able to get close to Moose, fish and get some pretty cool views of Ocean, glaciers and mountains.
Fun Fact About You: I started some woodworking over the past year. So far, I’ve build a couple cabinets and am now working on a kitchen table. Not an expert by any means so we’ll see how it turns out.
