The Clock is Ticking…But There Is Still Time

At the beginning of the year, we talked about setting goals for the new year. I'm sure some of the folks reading this set goals, business or personal, that maybe have strayed from the completion line as we enter the 4th quarter. There is nothing wrong with that - it happens to all of us.

If it's a personal goal, consider working with an “accountability buddy” to get back on track with your diet, your work out goals, or whatever your quest for self-improvement involves. But who is your “accountability buddy” for business goals? If you are looking for someone to help keep you accountable in pushing those goals over the finish line before the year runs out, the team at F&D is here to help.

In just the past year we've assisted clients who had project goals including completion of a full Yardi implementation, adding Yardi modules to an existing database, process documentation and business mapping, and rewriting policy and procedure manuals. If there is any way that we can help your organization, we would love to set up a time to chat about how our team of experts can be your partner in meeting your goals in 2022 and beyond.

Giving Back in our Communities

One of F&D's core values is giving back to the communities we live in - we think it's important to help others succeed. Most months we choose a specific charity or cause to focus on, but in September we spent time reflecting on how our individual team members give back to their local communities in their free time. A few of our team members shared their stories:

  • Renae Baird - Volunteers with the Chaska High School Booster Club and holds the position of Treasurer.

  • Jake Briggs - Coaches youth wrestling in his hometown of Shakopee, MN.

  • Jake Cordes - Volunteers with the Farmington High School Tiger Fan Club and serves as the President. He is also the Vice Chair of the Farmington Area Education Foundation.

  • Sam Jirik - Co-leads his daughter's Girl Scout Troop 18856.

  • Cassie Johnson - Volunteers as a bingo caller for her Wyoming hometown’s weekly bingo night during off-peak tourist season.

  • Sonya White - Spends time volunteering at The Foundry, a thrift store in her community that helps those recovering from addiction.

  • Margaret Lynch - Involved with the Lakeville South Band Booster program and serves as the Treasurer. Pictured below is Margaret and other Boosters with the prop from last year's fall show. She is also involved in the Lakeville Winter Guard program.

Get to Know F&D

This month we feature one of our Accountants, Nathan Youso.

  1. How Long Have You Been With F&D: I have been with F&D for two months.

  2. Education: Associate degree in Accounting from Dakota County Technical College

  3. Favorite Movie: Warrior

  4. Favorite Book: 25 hours a day by Nick Bare

  5. Favorite Band: I pretty much like all country. My favorite artist is Eric Church.

  6. If you could have any job in the world, what would you do: I always wanted to work remote, so I am happy working at Finch and Daisy. However, I like fitness and I think being a personal trainer would be interesting.

  7. Where is the most breathtaking place you’ve ever travelled: I would say Jamaica because I got married there. Hawaii is also beautiful.

  8. Fun Fact About You: I recently became a dad and it’s been the best thing in my life.

Pictured is Nathan and his family. Thank you for sharing your responses Nathan and for including the adorable picture of your family! Stay tuned next month for our next featured team member.
