March is a month to honor women – both within the US and across the world - as we celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day.
Last year, Finch & Daisy highlighted the lives and careers of four historic women – Clara Barton, Madam C.J. Walker, Frances Perkins, and Katherine Switzer – each of whom made profound impacts in their professional spheres and US history in general. This year we are highlighting our very own Founder and CEO, Joy Pearson. Over the last six and a half years, Joy has done an incredible job growing F&D and serves as an inspiration to business owners, both women and men alike. She finds great satisfaction in helping other entrepreneurs build their businesses by sharing her strategies for growth and success.
As many long-time readers of our newsletter know, Joy also has a passion for giving back. A few years ago, she joined the local Rotary Club in Farmington, MN, inspired both by the Rotary International's mission to eradicate polio, and the local Club's focus on reinvesting in the community. When the Farmington Club decided it was time to focus on its future direction, Joy volunteered her experience to lead a visioning / strategic planning session and helped set goals for the next 3, 5, and 10 years of the Club. Over the course of two hours, Joy and other Rotarians charted a course for long-term success that focuses on Club growth and establishing a legacy project.

Fun Fact About You: My husband & I were married in a renaissance themed wedding on the grounds of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, with everyone in costume… and swords may have been involved.
